St. Nicholas Park borders West 141st Street to its North, City College & St. Nicholas Terrace to its West, St. Nicholas Avenue to its East, and West 128th Street to its south.
Much of the park is placed on a very steep hill–so steep that as the city streets were built, they were built around the park, rather than crossing through it. Atop the hill sits City College, a beautiful college made up of massive stone buildings which loom over the rest of the lowlands in West Harlem. St. Nicholas park is a great place to bring your dogs, as well. There is a wonderful shaded dog run at the top of the park, about even with 133rd street.
